2019 NFBPA Texas Leadership Excellence Awards Gala

The National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) is proud to host its Texas Leadership Excellence Awards Gala on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Sheraton Houston Brookhollow Hotel, Houston, TX. This event represents almost two decades of recognizing distinguished leaders who have made a difference in public service. We invite you to join us at the 2019 Gala, to salute excellence and leadership.

Previous award recipients have included members of Congress, Governors, Secretaries of State, State Senators, County Executives, and other national leaders.

This year's honorees include: The Honorable Steve Adler, Mayor, Austin, TX; The Honorable Karen Weaver, Mayor, Flint, MI; The Honorable Angela Alsobrooks, County Executive, Prince George’s County, MD; The Honorable Rosalyn Bliss, Mayor, Grand Rapids, MI; The Honorable Karen Freeman-Wilson, Mayor, Gary, IN and The Honorable Lina Hidalgo, County Judge, Harris County, TX.

NFBPA has a tradition of honoring those who have outstanding accomplishments in public service. NFBPA was founded in 1983 to strengthen the capacity of government managers and to prepare younger aspiring administrators for senior management positions. NFBPA membership includes over 2,500 individual members representing more than 350 local jurisdictions in 36 states. There are currently 38 local chapters of NFBPA.
