I'm professor and chair of the Department of Public Policy and Public Affairs at University of Massachusetts Boston. I've been active in the Boston chapter of NFBPA since 2009 and president of the Boston chapter since 2016. I teach in the Master of Public Administration and Public Policy PhD programs, as well as the Urban Planning and Community Development, and Critical Ethnic and Community Studies masters programs. I was born in Chicago, graduated from high school in New York City and went to college in Atlanta, at Morehouse College.
